September 16th, 2017 by Sandy

Free classes and events are being offered by Hilton Council to celebrate National Fitness Day on 27th September, with the aim to encourage more people to take up exercise and for improving health. Research has shown that people are more likely to stick to exercise, if they do it with company, as the positive environment created by the social atmosphere, helps them to enjoy the activity. A range of out door activities are also being planned, which includes running, walking and jogging, that will celebrate the value of being outdoors.

A walk fit boot-camp will be held in Widnes on the day, from 12:30pm to 1:00pm, on Liverpool Road, at the Frank Myler Pavilion,. Another walk fit boot-camp is being held in Runcorn at Runcorn Hill, between 12:30pm and 1:00pm.
