Headline acts of Cirencester Phoenix Festival announced

March 4th, 2018 by Sandy

Be in the audience to hear two of the biggest bands of all time, although not the real ones, as the Phoenix Festival in Cirencester promises to be a nostalgic musical feast. The free event will be held at the city’s Abbey Grounds, on 25th and 26th August (falling on Saturday and Sunday), this year.

Two of the country’s top tribute acts have been confirmed for the event. The special guests are ‘Arrival’ and ‘Flash’. Festival organiser; Glen Moreman, said they are so happy to have the two bands as special guests, as they’ll give everybody a chance to celebrate two of the most iconic bands of all time.

The award-winning ABBA tribute show of Arrival, will be performed on the first day, displaying those trademark harmonies and costumes and they are thrilled to be special guests this year’s Phoenix Festival. This band is sure to bring out the ‘Super Trouper’ and the ‘Dancing Queen’ at the venue.

The second day of the festival will have ‘Flash: A Tribute to Queen’, who the BBC described to be as close as it gets to the original. They will replicate Queen with identical costumes and instruments, to put up an authentic show to fans. Last year, the free event drew in over 15,000 people to Cirencester. Thanks to 150 volunteers the Phoenix Festival was made possible. Entry is free thanks to donations, grants and sponsors.
