Halloween celebrations at King’s Lynn town centre

October 26th, 2016 by Sandy

To celebrate Halloween, West Norfolk Council and Vancouver Quarter have teamed up to run a special trail around King’s Lynn town centre on 31st October (Monday). Children and their parents should go between 3pm and 5:30pm to Baxter’s Plain, opposite to Costa Coffee and Argos, to collect from the Halloween HQ, a special Halloween map, before they go about the town centre, collecting from retailers the stamps. Participants who collect at least 15 stamps, get a goodie bag free, awarded to them on arriving back at Halloween HQ. A prize draw can be entered into by all participants collecting 20 stamps, to win £250, to spend on toys.

Centre Manager at Vancouver Quarter, Abbie Panks, said the event is well supported every year to provide another fun and free event. He said this is one of the highlights for the centre, of the year. The borough council’s cabinet member for culture, heritage and health, Elizabeth Nockolds, saw this as another great free event that follows their successful programme of summer events, this at King’s Lynn town centre. She hoped families will get into the ‘spirit’ of the occasion, get dressed in Halloween costumes, to have Halloween fun in a safe environment and help support the local high-street retailers.
