Gwanwyn arts festival comes to Pembrokshire

April 29th, 2017 by Sandy

The Gwanwyn arts festival is part of a Wales-wide arts festival for older people in Pembrokeshire. Older people above 50 can try their hand at digital film-making at free workshops to be held at Milford Haven and Fishguard libraries in May.

The festival is being run by the Age Cymru, a national charity which also gives grants to groups to hold events, where older people can participate in creative and arts activities, across Wales during May. The events at the libraries are for over 50s and the festival is in its 11th year, which is part of 50 events being held across Wales. The arts festival highlights the health benefits of arts for older people.

Both free workshops are being held on 15th May (Tuesday). The workshop at Milford Haven is from 10:30pm to 12:30pm and the other at Fishguard library, is from 2pm to 4pm.
