The historic town of Kenilworth will be hosting the inaugural Kenilworth Arts Festival from 12th September to 18th September, across a range of venues, on a full programme. The free festival event will feature an open-air event, to be held in beautiful Abbey Fields and also feature various events, activities and workshops.
A broad spectrum of cultural fields will be represented by a number of critically acclaimed artists. The festival’s stand-out event is an evening of poetry readings, curated by esteemed poet David Morley. The programme also stacks a series of workshops, offering visitors the chance to engage proactively with forms of expression and respected professionals.
The Fiesta, an all-day event, will feature live music from many popular bands. A theatre company, The Fabularium, will be appearing at the event engaging in outdoor theatre. There will be interactive activities fit for all ages. There will also be a storytelling ‘den’, improvised theatre workshops, stalls with free craft activities, a music maze and dance workshops.
A full day free event, the Fiesta, will close the festival on 18th September, Sunday in Abbey Fields. The Festival committee has a track record of successfully hosting events in the historic town of Kenilworth.
