September 10th, 2015 by Sandy

The free event of Burnham-On-Sea Kite Festival is scheduled to take-off this weekend, which will be on 12th September (Saturday), from 11:00am to 8:30pm and also on 13th September (Sunday), from 11:00am to 4:00pm. It will be on main beach of Burnham town which is on the river mouth of River Parrett and Bridgwater Bay, in Somerset,

The free event is good fun and encourages families to participate and fly their kites. Experts will be available for instructions. According to Gaynor Brown, organiser, this is a very informal event with the main beach having displays throughout the days of the event. A beach party with Elvis on Saturday night will be followed by an illuminated kite display, he added. He pointed out that if anyone had a kite, they can join, or if they didn’t, they can try one of theirs. He said kite flyers will be teaching how to make and fly the kites at the festival. They are coming from different parts of the country for the free event.
