The Pets at Home store at Lowestoft, in Suffolk, on the North Retail Park, will be hosting free wild bird workshops for children very soon. A series of My Pet Pal Wild Bird workshops this month on 20, 21, 27 & 28 January, is part of RSPB’s Big Garden Birdwatch.
Parents can take their children to attend a series of fun and free workshops covering how to help birds survive the cold winter months, what and how to feed birds and how wildlife around us can be affected negatively by human behaviour. Everyone can involve in the fun games and activities here. Children can lean how to identify birds as well as how to attract certain species of birds to local outdoor spaces or their gardens, using materials that My Pet Pals provide through the workshops.
Last year, Garden Birdwatch had over half a million people take part across the UK. This year from 27 to 29 January the same turnout is expected to count birds in their gardens. To book a place for their children at the free workshops, parents can do it online at the site – petsathome.com/workshops.
