Gloucestershire will be supporting of Road Safety Week the national campaign starting this week. Free workshops to mark Road Safety Week will be organised for businesses right across the county. Gloucestershire Road-Safety Partnership will be launching Road Safety Week by offering ‘Coming to a Junction near you’, the free workshops for businesses. All Gloucestershire businesses can place up to 30 employees on the free workshops.
The interactive sessions are developed to support the national campaign and highlight the dangers of not looking out for each other. People participating in the free workshop will learn the importance of looking out for each other when using the roads, about the difference between looking and seeing, about the limitations of the human eye, about the brain’s ability to make wrong decisions and about what can be done to reduce the probability of accidents.
Heading the Road-Safety Partnership in Gloucestershire, Mary Boon, said that their workshops are a reminder of our joint responsibilities on the road and hoped local businesses will take up the free workshops for their staff.
