People will get an opportunity at an open afternoon, on 19th September, Saturday, to try out free workshops for singing dancing and acting for youngsters, by the 1Life Academy, at the Harpenden Sports Centre. The academy is a new stage-school and the event will be held for 8 to 12 year-olds at 2:00pm and for 13 to 18 year-olds it will be at 4:00pm. Booking for the workshop is not required. However, participants should bring suitable clothing for the dance workshop.
The academy in Harpenden, Hertfordshire, is a new part time stage-school suitable for 8 to 18 year old young. 1Life Academy will run parallel to the academic year, having terms from September-to-December, Jan-to-March and April-to-July, and the classes on Saturdays will be held form 2:15pm to 5:45pm. The youngsters will be divided into their age-groups, with a maximum of 20 students only per class. Students would be performing on the main stage at the end of the spring term.
