East Lindsey District Council has organised for its second Expo Event which is open to all including general public and free to attend events. Everyone will get a chance to come to know about the wonderful businesses that form part of the council’s business community.
The event will be held on Wednesday – November 7, 2018 at Stanhope Hall, 1 Boston Rd, Horncastle LN9 6EY, UK and the event will run from 10 am to 4 pm.
There will be number of free workshops organised on the day. This offers businesses to have a networking with others and participate in various useful workshops entire day. Even schools in the area can also book separately to get special school focused workshops.
Councillor Adam Grist – Portfolio holder for market towns & rural economy said that the event is one of the ways to recognise and celebrate the businesses which are supporting the growth of the economy. Their Business Awards were received great recognition and success held in the beginning of the year and this expo will be an invaluable one to all those participants.
Councillor Steve Kirk – Portfolio holder for coastal economy said that they have a great and varied business community and looking forward for their participation on the day. This is a wonderful chance for businesses to network and undergo fantastic workshops.
Workshops:
- Between 10.15-11 am, Funding Business Growth by Russell Copley of Greenborough Management Ltd) session helps to understand various options of funding and its problems and consequences of funding options.
- Between 10.15-11 am, Top Ten Tips for Starting a Business by John Owens (NBV) session explains the ideas and information on starting own business.
- Between 11.15am-12pm, Online Marketing Plan by David Clarke of DBS Internet Marketing session will provide advice to local SMEs on writing plans with strategies and how to monitor them.
- Between 11.15am-12pm, Taking the Stress out of Recruitment by Kay Burge of Horncastle Recruitment will help you in the recruitment process.
- Between 12.15-1pm, Making Tax Digital: The Final Countdown by Alan Nesbitt of Forrester Boyd will explain about the Making Tax Digital which mandates all VAT registered business having turnover above £85,000 to maintain all digital records and filing returns in new method.
- Between 1.15-2pm, Top 10 Tips to Build a Great Team by Nicola Richardson of The People Mentor will tell about tips for team building to achieve your goals.
- Between 3.15-4pm, The Smart Approach to Social Media Marketing for Business by Kate Strawson (Shooting Star) will help to explain the importance of creating a social media strategy that is apt for your business.
