Free workshops and events at Southport Comedy Festival

This year’s Southport Comedy Festival will feature a selection of family shows and events with the support of Southport BID. The Southport Comedy festival will be held from 15th to 25th October. Mostly the children’s events will be free.
The events taking place range from comedy and cartoon workshops to kid’s entertainers. The Children’s Comedy Festival is sponsored by Merseyrail, the Creation Station, The Atkinson and Playtown. According to organiser Brendan Riley, there will be daily events for children and comedy workshops for teenagers,with Sam Avery hosting it.
A special family event will be on the Southport Station platform and not to miss these comedy specials for both grown-ups and kids, he added. The new owners of Playtown have got involved in the great community and family-oriented event, remarked owner Louie Gaffney.
