Star players from the Black Dyke Band will lead a day of free workshop tuition for school children of the West Yorkshire area, to be held next February. On 22nd February (Thursday), the free event will be held at Brighouse High School. The afternoon workshop will start at 3:00pm for young brass players of school-going age, taught by tutors of Black Dyke, followed by a performance in the evening by the tutors and the players.

The afternoon session will see the youngsters divided into two bands. One group of players is for the beginner level to Grade 2 standard. The other group is for children of Grade 3 and above. The free workshop tuition, led by the star players, will start the session, at the Brighouse High School, on Finkil Street, at around 2:00pm and will finish by 8:30pm. To get a seat at the workshop for a child, please send the details of the child by email to schoolsmusicandarts@bradford.gov.uk, by the 19th of January (2018), Friday.
