MasterCard holders are entitled to get free WiFi access in London. The Cloud (BSkyB) has 22,000 WiFi hotspots across the United Kingdom and according to the promotion, both UK’s and international MasterCard users will be entitled to free WiFi access at any of The Cloud’s hotspots in UK soon. This at present seems to benefit only those travelling in and around London. As part of the ‘Priceless Cities’ initiative of MasterCard, various special offers and benefits are being given to card-holders travelling in major cities, such as New York, Rome, Madrid, Paris and London. The offer is expected to eventually include more global destination,s to total up to 36 cities world-wide.

To avail the free offer of WiFi access, the card owners have to download the app- MasterCard Priceless London WiFi, before they travel, while in the home country. They have to then register their device for the WiFi service, but assuming the offer is for London only. Commercial Director of The Cloud, Roger Mathews, said the ‘Priceless Cities’ programme of MasterCard has included free service of WiFi to keep card holders digitally connected and also provide location based offers in major cities. This inclusion provides them new valued service, increases their daily touch points abroad and enhances brand engagement, he added.
