Skype is all set to provide free Wi-Fi to the UK

This initiation has reinforced the commitment of Skype towards its customers in the UK. Skype, the sponsor of the great event, the Internet Week Europe 2011 will honour the occasion by offering the free Wi-Fi service. By opening up the free service, people in the UK can benefit from wireless hotspots with Skype Wi-Fi.

During, 7th Monday till 11th Friday people in the UK can access internet for up to 60 minutes for free of cost. Usually, to access Skype Wi-Fi customer will have to pay through Skype Credit. With this new service, customers can enjoy wireless access for free.

Skype Wi-Fi extended to hotels, airports, train stations, bars and restaurants and now it has created 1 million wireless hotspots across the world. People participating in the Internet Week Europe and other people in the UK can benefit from the free Wi-Fi access. To enable the Skype Wi-Fi, you should download the latest version of Skype, along with an account. Next step is to join Skype partner Wi-Fi network and select connect. After, it is done, you can select disconnect.

The service is not only available for PC and laptop users, it can be accessed by iPhone, iPad or iPod touch users. To access it, customers should download Skype Wi-Fi app from App Store. Open the Skype Wi-Fi app and then sign in with Skype account details. Tap and connect. Once you have done with it, just tap disconnect.
