Cheshire East Council has organised for free training sessions on safety & security measures on online usage and invited the residents of Cheshire East to make use of these free sessions. As many cases were filed for computer frauds and misuses last year, the council wants to bring awareness about these cybercrimes among the residents.
The council in association with Get Safe Online, has scheduled for two day training sessions between 1 pm to 4 pm
– on Monday – May 21, 2018 at The Georges Community Centre, West Street, Crewe &
– on Tuesday – May 22, 2018 at the Capesthorne Room, Macclesfield Town Hall.
The sessions will give knowledge about how to create more secured passwords, safety measures on online shopping, online payments, how to use social media networks securely and how to avoid and report cybercrime related frauds.
The sessions are being organised with the funding from monies collected by Cheshire East Council under the Proceeds of Crime Act and a Certificate will be issued to all the participants. As there are limited places, the residents are required to register for either of these two sessions and take part in it. The council also wants the participants to share the knowledge what they are going to learn among all their neighbours, friends and relatives.
