Budding talents can be helped to kick-start a career in the arts, thanks to a full-time training course in Liverpool. The free scheme for aspiring performers and makers, is calling for applicants for the June 2018 programme. The scheme to develop artists is being run by Hope Street Ltd, as it celebrates its 30th anniversary.
The ten-week intensive vocational programme called ADAPT will give participants an opportunity work alongside professional artists, to create work, learn business skills and network with the city’s other organisations. It will culminate in multiple performances aimed at the creative industry.
The programme is looking for film-makers and digital animators, music directors and composers, sound designers and designers/makers, performers, stage-managers and a movement director. The ‘Climate Change is Rubbish’ is a production set to be directed by EggPeople. It is to be part of a programme of events celebrating nationally the environment and to stimulate action on climate change.
Aspiring artists, who are above 18 years, can apply online, using the form on the website of Hope Street Ltd. Application deadline for the free training scheme is 12noon of 24 April. In the week commencing 30th April, auditions and interviews will be held in Liverpool.
