The Faster Women Programme will be offering women in business a workshop to help them increase their knowledge and skills in social media and websites. The free training, advice and the workshops are being organised by Norfolk Chamber of Commerce and New Anglia LEP to help them find out how superfast broadband can boost their business growth.
This initiative to help enable the female entrepreneur is part of the £1 million Challenging Fund, that the government launched in May. As part of the training, there will be 2 sessions. Participants will be offered practical advice to increase online visibility and offered help to build business relationships using social media. The first session is scheduled on 3 December, Wednesday, with the other session scheduled on 9 December, Tuesday, at The Open, Bank Plain, Norwich. The workshops will run from 9.30 am to 1.00pm, will have refreshments provided and also a networking lunch.
There will be follow-up workshops to be held in January of 2015, which are designed to help the participants go up to the next level in their knowledge. They will be given practical advice on best methods to create business websites, measuring results and improving online presence. They will be offered up to 1 hour online time or get direct mentoring support that will help them implement knowledge gained at the free workshops.
