As the internet occupies each and every part of our life, it has both its positive and negative sides. Especially when children are using internet for their studies and for other reasons, parents or guardians should be very careful on their safety for being online.
Here there has been a free internet safety training sessions organized on Wednesday – March 6 between 12.30 pm to 2.30 pm & on Thursday – March 7, 2019 between 7 pm to 9.15 pm at Princess Theatre, Town Hall, Station Road, Clacton-on-Sea CO15 1SE.
The internet safety training session has been organized by the Tendring Community Safety Partnership and will be led by EST E-safety Training. EST E-safety Training are providing various workshops and training sessions in many schools in the district. The session is focused on the parents, grandparents, guardians, carers of the school going children in the age of 6 to 9 years in the Tendering District.
At the session, the participants will be explained about the risks in using various online apps, social media and games and how to keep the children safe from them.
TCSP Chairman & Tendring District Council Cabinet Member for health and education – Lynda McWilliams said that they had organized sessions like this last year and they got positive feedback from parents, as these help in knowing the risks involved in online when children using internet. As online usage is essential for young people in this digital age, it is also required to keep them safe. There will be some steps that we can take to keep them safe, giving advice and tips to them. The team is encouraging all the parents, carers or those look after children to take this opportunity.
