Free training course offered to bikers who crashed

December 31st, 2017 by Sandy

Motorcyclists are encouraged to join the free training course- Biker Down, meant for riders of all ages or any experience. Run by bikers for bikers, riders are urged to start the new year by improvement in driving skills. The course offers them an opportunity to learn practical skills and help them avoid involving in a crash, plus advice on what to do when first at an accident scene and also essential first-aid training.

Road-safety manager, Colin Heyes, at Cheshire Fire and Rescue Sevices, said they wanted people to enjoy riding bikes, but also wanted them to be safe and hoped educating bikers about dangers can help them avoid these on the road. A few months off the bike can fade skills and the course will equip motorcyclists with knowledge and skills to keep safe on road, he added and encouraged bikers to attend the free course before spring season. The next free training course of Biker Down falls on the Sundays of 28 January and 25 February. Book a place online by an email to- bikedown@cheshirefire.gov.uk.
