Free tickets for show at Hartlepool’s 100th anniversary of bombardment

Hartlepool will be offering free tickets to the event named ‘Homecoming’, to be performed on 16th December (Tuesday), from 6PM to 7PM, at the Headland Town Square. The event is in commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the starting of the 1st World War and the bombardment of Hartlepool by the German Navy.

The show has been created by Periplum, an internationally acclaimed theatre company. Specially commissioned music, pyrotechnics, digital projection, lighting and visual effects will be used to tell stories of local resident during the war, that has been researched. Entry is free to the show, but is by tickets. A total of 1,650 tickets will be released in phases, available from Hartlepool Art Gallery & Information Centre at Church Square. The free tickets will be available in releases of 500, on 9 October, 21 October, 4 November and 18 November. For details contact on (01429) 890 000. Audience will have to stand at the open venue during the show. But some seats will be arranged for those who are old and with disabilities.
