The Mercian Partners will offer local families free tickets to see the upcoming Cinderella show to be held at the Tamworth Assembly Rooms. This local team of volunteers wish to spread some cheer in Tamworth for Christmas, in the upcoming pantomime season. Since they started in 2006, this year too, families and children will get tickets for free to the pantomime. Tamworth Pantomime Company will present the show from 17th to 23rd December and again from 2nd to 4th January next year.
Graham Houghton, the driving force behind, is joined by Paul Higgins and Penny Evans, all from the Mecian Partners, to not only help families see the panto, but also arrange for elderly and vulnerable people Christmas gift hampers, and also selection boxes for children unable to attend the show. Pantomime company manager, Alex Farell, said they always support this work for the community. In the 8 years, 1,600 free tickets is a proud achievement and helping children, many of whom have never seen a pantomime, is worthwhile, he added.
