The Good Mental Health Cooperative has organised for a free taster workshop “Good Mental Health Drop-In Cafe” on Wednesday – December 12, 2018 at Portsmouth Central Library, Guildhall Walk, Portsmouth PO1 2DX, United Kingdom. The session will be held between 2 pm to 6.30 pm.
If you are stressed, anxious or feeling isolated from society or even worrying about your family or friends or just if you would like to know about good mental health from the local specialist sources, the Drop-In cafe is the right place for you.
They are friendly and there will be many people to have a nice chat with you or visit the stalls for services. The regular attendees of the stalls to talk about support to the people include the Learning Place, the Solent Mind Wellbeing Centre, Citizen’s Advice Portsmouth, the Carers Centre, Counselling Portsmouth and SHIFT & SAD Portsmouth.
The workshop will have:
Short Story writing: There will be a short story writing held between 4 to 5 pm. Christine Lawrence will help the participants to find out your own creation of story and continued writing.
Mindfulness workshop: The participants can join Carolyn Barber for mindfulness which helps the participants deal with festive angst. There will also be activities of mindful colouring activity and on-line tool – Genie which helps in finding support that you are searching for in in the local community.
There will be drinks & snacks at the Lily & Lime Cafe that offers training opportunities for those people with learning disabilities.
