There has been free taster sessions organized in this weekend, Saturday – May 18 & Sunday – May 19, 2019 at Woodbridge Tennis Club, The Avenue, Kingston Playing Fields, Woodbridge, IP12 4BA. The Saturday session will run between 2 pm to 4 pm and Sunday session between 10 am to 12 pm.
Are you never touched the tennis racket? or Played in the past, now do you want to try again? or Your little ones want to try out the game? Here Woodbridge Tennis Club will be celebrating this weekend as Big Tennis Weekend and offering all those to try out the game at their club for free. The Big Tennis Weekend is an annual initiative of LTA (governing body for tennis in Great Britain) to encourage and drive new people to try out the game.
The participants will be provided with tennis rackets and balls. However they can also bring a racket if they want and come in a comfortable dress suitable for running around. It is a great chance for the participants to look and try out all the facilities at the club irrespective of their age and abilities. There will be different tennis based games run by the coaches which covers an intro to tennis, getting a chance to try out the ball machines and Touch Tennis for adults.
Club coach Jon Mansfield said that they will be opening their doors and allowing people to get on court to know more about tennis and try out the game for free and how it helps to keep fit and have some fun. They want people in local area to come and know about the club, their facilities, offers and know everything about junior coaching, social tennis and match play etc.
