There have been two free taster sessions on community chorus on Monday – January 7, 2019 and January 14, 2019 starting at 7.15 pm. The sessions will take place at Palmer’s College, Chadwell Road, Grays, Thurrock, RM17 5TD. The sessions will be hosted by the Royal Opera House Thurrock Community Chorus.
The community chorus is having a strength of 120 members of Thurrock residents and workers. The group has both young and old people having good experience. They perform variety of songs mostly in original languages. The chorus usually sing at the Royal Opera House or in Thurrock. The members are very passionate about singing and the group is committed and friendly.
Now the group requires members with lower voices. Hence those who are interested in joining the chorus and having lower range of voices can come to the free taster sessions and join the chorus. Anyone who is living, studying or working in and around Thurrrock area are welcome to the sessions. The minimum age limit is 8 years and no upper limit.
There is no prior experience required, no audition, no need to read music and the group is open to all levels of experience. Even Altos/ Sopranos interested in the chorus will be taken to the group in the autumn.
