People of all ages in Tamworth will be offered taster sessions to a major arts project that would run for 12-months, called ‘I Am Tamworth’. It would be the largest project of its kind, aimed at inspiring people of all ages and is being launched soon.
The taster sessions are sure to give people of Tamworth the chance to have a glimpse or have a go at what would be happening over the coming 12 months. The project will hold sessions across several venues in and around Tamworth . The sessions include craft workshops, drama, singing, street dancing, ballroom and Latin dancing, song writing, creative writing and many more.
Cabinet member for economy, Councillor Steve Claymore, said this is the most ambitious project ever put on in the borough and he urged everyone to try out at least one free taster session, as anyone might like it so much as to take up an arts activity or join a group.
Taster sessions are to begin from 12th January. People can join in as many sessions and they are all free of charge. Get from the I Am Tamworth website more details like venues, times, etc. by visiting the site iamtamworth.co.uk.
