Fashion design students will be among those students displaying their work in taster sessions from the University of Northumbria University, ahead of the degree shows of the summer. The students will be offering a sneak preview of fashion creations on the fashion catwalk, in a special preview event in May. Northumbria University will be giving free taster sessions of its degree shows, both locally as well as in London and New York.

On 13th May, in Gateshead, the Baltic will be venue to the fashion collections, where movers and shakers of the industry will view the designs. This is ahead of the Graduate Fashion Week Exhibition on 30th May. Later, works of students in 3D design will go on show in the Big Apple, as part of the New York Furniture Fair, for American audiences, under the theme ‘Tools for Everyday Life’. From May onwards, the free taster sessions will also feature works in media, architecture and art, to the members of the public. This is a glimpse ahead of the REVEAL degree shows, the main event, taking place in June at the city campus of the university. Starting on 20th May, students of performing arts of the university get the spotlight, during a 4-day Performing Arts Showcase at Northern Stage in Newcastle.
