There has been organised a free taster session on therapies for those with Parkinson’s on Friday – September 28, 2018 at Burnley Central Methodist Church on Hargreaves Street, Burnley BB11 1DU. The session will be held between 12 noon to 4 pm.
There are 2 people in the UK diagonised with Parkinson’s in every hour. The session is being organised and run by Burnley Support Group of Parkinson’s UK along with the Lancashire Parkinson’s UK team. The organisers are inviting local people suffering from Parkinson’s to just drop in for the session to find out how some of the activities will help them in managing their condition.
The free taster will have introductions to massage, art therapy, music. And also it covers tasters of various exercises including Nordic walking and boxing etc. Various activities which will be demonstrated at the session, will really help people to have a positive effect on managing their neurological problems due to which they struggle to speak, walk and sleep properly.
Rebecca Ward-Dooley – Parkinson’s UK Area Development Manager said that they want to motivtate people suffering by Parkinson’s in the locality to join the session and they can meet new friends, services and professionals and find how various activities and therapies will help them to have a positive impact on the condition in their routine life.
