Free taster session on Golf in Hampshire

Girls Golf Rock is a national campaign for motivating girls aged between 5 to 18 years to take up the game and in which many golf clubs are participating across the country.

In Hampshire and the Isle of Wight also, the campaign will be rocking to drive new girl players. There will be 4 clubs participating in this campaign and organizing for free taster sessions in this month. Girls Golf Rocks is run jointly by England Golf and the Golf Foundation.

After the free tasters, interested girls can join the six weeks coaching sessions at their wish. The main aim of this campaign is to make the girls to try out the game, get active in playing and enjoy with fun by making new friends.

Free taster sessions:

Already the free tasters got over in Cams Hall, Fareham and Shanklin & Sandown, Isle of Wight on May 5.

On Tuesday – May 21, 2019 at Worldham Golf Club located at Cakers La, Alton GU34 3BF between 5.30 pm to 7.30 pm. The classes will be held from June 4 to July 9, 2019.

On Sunday – June 2, 2019 at Bramshaw Golf Club located at Golf Club, Brook, Lyndhurst SO43 7HE between 9 am to 11 am. The classes will be held from June 8 to July 13, 2019.

At the taster sessions, the participants will be provided with all equipment and they can come, gather and relax and enjoy with fun. They will be led by PGA professional coaches and also supported by Girls Golf Rocks ambassadors from local clubs and the county girls’ squad. The participants can wear comfortable dresses and come in trainers.

Those joining the six week course can get a chance to play along with the Girls Golf Rocks ambassadors. They will also get a goody bag and branded polo shirt, water bottle to help them continue the game.
