April 9th, 2016 by Sandy

The Bowen Therapy Awareness Week is being celebrated this month. A therapist of the Bowen Technique, Jenni Townsend, is offering free taster sessions during April and 10% discount on all treatments this month. Practitioners of this therapy across the country are celebrating the 100th anniversary of its founder, Tom Bowen. The Bowen Therapy, or Bowen Technique, was developed by him in the 1950s in Australia. The Bowen Therapy Awareness Week is being held from 12th to 18th April, this year. It marks Tom’s 100th birth anniversary and celebrates his life.

The Bowen Therapy is a gentle form of body-work therapy that uses light moves applied to specific places of the body. Jenni Townsend, who has 14 year of experience, said the technique involves gentle rolling movements, done through clothing, which stimulates our body’s own healing process. Many find it relaxing and each session is tailored to the individual, she added.

Activities, promotions and events will be held all over the country to mark the significant contribution brought to holistic health field by Tom Bowen. Therapist Jenni is based in Frome, Somerset. She covers Dorset, Wiltshire, Hampshire and Somerset. To know more about the free taster sessions and for information, contact her on 01373-461-908. Or go to the website- bowentherapy-healing.co.uk.
