Generally outdoor plays make children more fit & energetic physically and mentally. That too playing in the natural surrounded environment will enable them to be smarter, healthier and happier. Here at Wee Wild Sparks, there will be free taster days at their outdoor nursery held on Tuesdays – September 11, 25, October 23 & November 6 & 20 between 9.30 am to 11.30 am. The Wee Wild Sparks’s Outdoor Nursery is located at Coupar Angus, Perthshire.
The Wee Wild Sparks is a registered nursery which provides a quality day out and experience for children aged between 3 to 7 years. The nursery is located in 7 acres of private estate and woodland and run by qualified staff to provide outdoor learning to the kids in their early years education. Here kids can play as per their wish on their own whatever they like to do whether to dig, build, climb or investigate the natural features of the surrounding and it improves their skills and leads to brain development and physical well being.
One of the nursery teachers – Jo Andrews said that the nursery is a good place for learning everything in all areas of their development with free play and adult led activities.
The outdoor based early learning is acknowledged by the Scottish Government and its research reports say: playing freely in outdoor in fresh air is very beneficial. When the kids are actively engaged in the activities to explore more, it will improve their abilities.
Here kids can find activities like writing with a charcoal, singing rhymes and songs, dance, count the sticks for making fire or to build a den or dam. By this, they can learn numerical calculations, literacy, coordination and team work.
