Learn to Play Day will be hosted at MH Music, on St. Mary Road, in Harborough, offering taster lessons and workshops, on 12th March, Saturday. The free sessions are being hosted for the fifth year in a row and has become a national event. It is aimed at people of all ages, being organised by the charity of the music industry, Music for all, and the Musicians Union, along with the Arts Council.
Taster lessons will be offered on flute, clarinet, saxophone, drums, ukulele, electric guitar and acoustic guitar. Additionally, special workshops are available on blues guitar, using effects pedals, Latin bongo techniques and rock guitar shredding. Matt Hankins of MH Music shop said that the aim is to see everybody taking part get a chance to play something before leaving and special offers on further lessons, with promotions of money off when purchasing equipment.
