Cashback to the Future, is a unique packed programme of creativity and will be launched on 11th July at the Saltcoats Town Hall, in Saltcoats, the town on the west coast of North Ayreshire, in Scotland. Aimed at young participants, those 14 to 19 years olds, they get the chance to work with talented professional artists, musicians, performers and tutors, as part of this summer’s weeks of free creative workshops, offering almost 100 hours of classes. The Cashback programme will end on 6th August, Friday, with a live celebration Ayre-wide, including exhibitions and performances.
The programme has signed-up some experienced artists, like filmmaker Douglas King, who will lead classes on animation, filmmaking and digital art. Actor, musician and dancer, Rache Leonard, experienced in directing and script, will lead performance workshops. Finn LeMarinel, who will lead music classes, is a multi-instrumentalist, a recording artist and songwriter. Laura Frood, artist and photographer, will work on visual projects for youngsters.
The programme gets funding from the Cashback for Communities initiative by the Scottish government.
