Davies Tracey, a Chartered Accountants & business advisors, have announced free events for making tax digital in response to the HM Revenue & Custom’s plan for easy tax returns which will be running from November.
HMRC has piloted for Making Tax Digital since 2015 which will begin from April 1, 2019. Though tested for long time, the research of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales discloses that more than 40% of businesses are having no knowledge on Making Tax Digital. On the other hand, HMRC’s research shows that where there is emerging modern digital tax system, but businesses require still clear information on their new responsibilities/privacy/account security.
Even the clients of Davies Tracey have voiced for this issue and in response to them, David Tracey has introduced a website with advice and tips about cloud accounting with digital tax. They have also created their own tax mnemomic, CLICK (Compatible Software/ Less time-Less mistakes/ Income Tax & VAT/ Control & Capability/ Knowledge).
They will be organising CLICK sessions from November to offer help & support to their clients and non-clients to get knowledge on their responsibilities/ obligations and compliances with Making Tax Digital most effectively.
The free sessions (90 mins) will be held on various dates between November 6, 2018 to February 28, 2019 at Davies Tracey, Swan House, Westpoint Rd, Teesdale Business Park, Stockton-on-Tees TS17 6BP. The sessions will tell about advantages of digital record keeping, exploring CLICK, understanding your responsibilities under Making Tax Digital, to have interaction with recommended software by the attendees, discussion on client’s experiences who uses cloud accounting and Q&A session. There will be available key members of the Davies Tracey at these sessions.
