To create awareness on digital taxation system, Cumbria Chamber of Commerce in association with David Allen – the accountants, has organized for a free seminar on Making Tax Digital for the businesses to know clearly abou the concept and clarify their queries on Tuesday – July 9, 2019 at David Allen, Dalmar House, Barras Lane Estate, Dalston CA5 7NY. The seminar will be held between 8. 30 am to 10 am.
The organizer has arranged for a breakfast event for the businesses suffering to understand the digital system to clear the confusion about the system to file VAT returns digitally. If you are registered under VAT and having turnover of above £85,000, you need to file returns digitally.
The participants can learn about Making Tax Digital, the meaning, making ready your business for MTD and various advice and support on the software option suitable for the businesses. There will be 45 minutes free assessment of business available for the participants which can be booked and followed by which there will be a software options and demonstration. Amy Johnston – Business Services & Software Specialist from David Allen will be leading the session.
Chamber Chief Executive – Rob Johnston said that based on the last year’s research by the British Chambers of Commerce, the businesses are still that businesses were far from ready. The MTD system is requiring businesses to register for and then they have to file returns using the software that has been approved by HMRC. Many businesses who are not aware of the systems feel panic and they feel that the software is very expensive. The seminar will be organized in partnership with David Allen to give clarity and guidance on the new system.
