Free schools becoming very popular among the students and parents

Free School Places UKFirst fee schools opened last years is attracting a number of subscriptions. As per the recent figures of the government, the free schools are over-subscribed. Teachers, charities, parents and local authority have set twenty free schools. Reponses for the government survey was collected from these twenty two free schools. Among the surveyed schools, 19 claimed that they received over subscriptions for the coming academic year that will start on September. Applications were received for primary free schools were significantly high, with the application number doubling the number of places available. On the other hand, the secondary free schools received applications three times more than the available places.

Batley Grammar School’s primary and secondary phases which had 132 place, 554 parents game applications. Toby Young’s West London Free School in Hammersmith with 120 places attracted 1,078 applications from the parents. At Kings Science Academy, in Bradford there was considerable demand, with 704 parent submitted applications for the available 160 places. For the Free School Norwich’s reception class with 24 places, 80 parents had applied. The demand for these free schools is getting high. Since there is huge number of applications many schools are operating waiting lists. There are 24 free schools in the UK.
