Parkland running is a popular event and the first one in the region will land at Hanbury Hall, playing host to the Trusts 10, on 25th September, Sunday, with the start at 900am. Pioneering this initiative is the National Trust, which has created across UK, a series of 10km routes. It hopes to encourage as many people as possible to get outdoors and to take part, which is also helps exploring special places of interest.
The very first run at Halbury Hall (Worcestershire) by Trust 10 has got devised a route which takes up both breath-taking view of the countryside and beautivul parkland areas, for the runners. Organiser intend to host runs regularly on every fourth Sunday, every month. The run being organised is free to join and the trust has a number of 10km events up and running across the county. Stableyard Cafe of Hanbury Hall will be open, specially for the run, on each run day, serving early hot and cold refreshments, a host of fresh cakes and bacon sandwiches.
Speaking for National Trust, Sian Goodman said they were really excited to bring the free event and provide a great opportunity for people to a regular goal every month, with the chance to visit a special place. The run is free to take part and the route will be open to runnners all through the year, Sian added. For mote details and/or to volunteer, send an email to goodmand@nationaltrust.org.uk.
