The Swim Safe programme is running water safety and outdoor swimming sessions for free from 30th July to 18th August for the public, to be held in Sandbanks Beach, Bournemouth Up to 2,700 children will be benefited from the programme, delivered by a partnership between the RNLI and ASA (Amateur Swimming Association), which features a lifeguard taking a land-based safety lesson. This is followed by a in-water tuition with a swimming teacher.

The Site Coordinator Ashley Jones, for Swim Safe at Sandbanks, said they look forward to run the sessions for the first time on Sandbanks Beach and they will run daily except on Fridays. Young people can come and learn some really important life skills, with spaces for 2,700 available, she added. At the free sessions, swimming hats, wetsuits and a free goody bag with t-shirt will be provided. More details on the website- swimming.org/swimsafe.
