As part of this year’s Learn to Play initiative, Yamaha is offering hundreds of free taster lessons to new and lapsed musicians at the Yamaha Music London store. The free lessons will be offered on 12th March between 10:30am and 4:30pm, and on 13th March, between 11:30am and 4:30pm, over a range of musical instruments that include piano, violin, guitar and drums. Starter lessons for group ukulele also available.
Steve White, Yamaha artist and legendary drummer, will be taking lessons in basic sticking techniques, to be held at 2pm, everyday for an hour. Visitors get the chance to play in-store along with him. Those interested in the session can book a place through the website- yamahamusiclondon.com. Throughout the weekend, Hnaah Vasanth, music producer, pianist and session musician, will hold master classes and offer an insight into achieving a successful career in the music industry.
National Learn to Play Day is organised by music charity Music for All. The initiative returns for the fourth year throughout UK in venues. The free instrument taster sessions are being offered to the public who can take up one of the over 10,000 free sessions available at participating venues on 12th and 13th March of this year.
