Free taster sessions for people to try out hockey is being offered by the Western Wildcats hockey club of Milngavie, which is in Auchenhowie. The taster hockey sessions will run all through this August month and are open to both men and women, regardless of fitness or ability or age. Even the equipment will be provide to those who come.
These sessions follow closely after the success of the Commonwealth Games and also begin with the new hockey season. Kris Kane, Director of Hockey at the club, believes the athletes have been inspired by the games in Glasgow and so the club invites and encourages people here to try out the game in free taster sessions.
