Free fishing event for families in Alford

June 13th, 2016 by Sandy

Free fishing events for the whole family to enjoy are being arranged this summer in Alford. ‘Lets Go Family Fishing’ is a new series of events that provide introduction to angling, as taster sessions to families. A tackle and bait will be provided, but anyone attending can bring along any fishing tackle they may be possessing. Participants will learn to handle fishing, use baits and assemble a tackle.

Four free events are being organised by Burgh Angling Society, over summer, at the lake near Alford at Dales Pit. They are from 5pm to 8pm on 22nd June and on 10h August. On 17th July and 21st August they are from 2pm to 5pm. Senior Regional Officer James Roche at Angling Trust said Lets Go Family Fishing is a great way to find out about fishing and an activity for all. Although these are free sessions, persons interested to come should book a place by sending an email to the club through enquires@burghanglingsociety.co.uk. Or by phone to 077 3311 6550.
