Free family fun day at Raincliffe Woods

April 2nd, 2015 by Sandy

For this Easter, on Saturday, a free family fun day is being hosted at Raincliffe Woods Meadows which is located north-west of Scarborough in North Yorkshire. The event is open to all and will start from noon, right up to 3:00pm. People coming in will be given nature trail sheets for participating, by the marshals, and to be completed on their way up. Those coming are requested to park their vehicles in the 3 car-parks near to Ox Pasture Hall, that also gives the best access to the meadows. Marshals will be posted at the parking sites. The open event, a free fun day for families, will feature a treasure hunt, dough craft painting, fairy wand making, face painting, a barbecue and a birds of prey display. It will feature on Saturday, a music corner for kids under 5 years and also the fun to build stick towers, that make a natural home for wildlife. Cora Marshall Kennett with Juliette McNab who organise the free event claim that this free family fun event will raise awareness of the surroundings and countryside and get them out here.
