Free family fun day at Grosvenor Park

Chester Pride has organized for a family fun day on Sunday – April 14, 2019 at Grosvenor Park, 9 The Groves, Chester CH1 1SD. The free event will be running from 12 pm to 4 pm. Chester Pride will be launching a first Children’s first activity book based on LGBT+ also with arts and crafts. They are holding their annual family fun day along with various activities for kids.

This year activities include Cheshire Hellcats Roller Derby Display, Chester Centurions Rugby Team, Market, Food and Beverage Stalls.

Families will get a chance to try out some of the activities in the book for free and they can get copies of the book also on the day. The book will feature various arts and crafts projects which focus on the diversity in the world and explaining kids about families and LGBT+ from various examples.

The activities on the family fun day will include greeting cards, wall art, models and also you can make your own Pride inspired flag.

There are various activities running on the day such as Children’s Magic Entertainer, Kid’s Got Talent, Seed Planting, Craft Activities and Cooking Demonstrations for all ages. Kids aged between 3 to 14 years who want to take part in the talent show can register by sending an email to funday@chesterpride.co.uk.

Some more active things which include Cheshire Hellcats’s demo of their sport, Roller Derby and the Chester Centurions team’s rugby demos & coaching. You can very well enjoy toys, sweets, refreshments, ice-cream and tasty food and there will be plenty of market stalls. All the activities on the day are free to participate and thanks for it being funded by the Tesco Bags of Help Scheme and M&S Bank.

The Chair of Chester Pride – Warren Lee Allmark said that Chester Pride is really proud to launch their activity book, the first of its kind in the UK. This is a best way to bring knowledge among children and families about LGBT+ identities in a fun way. All the money raised from this book sales will go to their charity. They have been in association with local artist Jon Cole for creating this book.

The main Chester Pride event will happen on August 10 at Castle Square in Chester.
