There will be free events lined up at the Maumbury Rings, the Dorchester venue, over the weekend. The Anonymous Festival will be staged free by Dorchester Youth extra, having live music, on Saturday. Activities include body zorbing, bungee run, circus, open-mic cafe, dance and workshop, starting at 12Noon, going up to 7PM. Dorchester Love Parade on Sunday will set off from the Cornhill town pump (12.30PM) and end at Weymouth Avenue. This is a free comedy festival with music & entertainment acts. It will go on to 8PM at Maumbury Rings, moving to Cafe Togas later.
On Monday (Bank Holiday, 25 Aug), the Dorchester Town Council will host free the Music in Maumbury Rings. The annual music day will start at 1.30PM and go on to 10PM. Bands include Supa Tight, Red Rooster, Amy Mayers Band, Curst Sons and others. The festival presents lots of free events and fun, in a holiday atmosphere that’s aimed at families, children and young people too.
