Free events to mark the 80th year of the National Park campaign

July 6th, 2016 by Sandy

Free events will be held in all 15 national parks situated in England, Scotland and Wales, to celebrate the Campaign for National Parks launched 80 years ago. It was started to protect the most valued natural landscapes of the country. The free events, like guided walks and natural art workshops will be held on 10th July, Saturday, to mark the celebration.

Behind these events that have a theme ‘inspired by nature’, are 38 Degrees, the lobby organisation, and the charity Campaign for National Parks. Guided walks led by professionals will be held along with separate ‘art in nature’ walks, curated by Richard Shilling, the land artist. Chief executive for Campaign for National Parks, Fiona Howie, said they are delighted to work with 38 Degrees. She pointed that as many people as possible in the UK can celebrate the spectacular sights and true diversity of the national parks together.
