Bournville New Year’s Day Walk
The Bournville Village Council has organised for a walk on the new year day to go around Bournville areas. You can come as individual or as a group and join them by the shops on the Bournville Green at the midday on January 1, 2019 to celebrate the new year. You can find new people and enjoy the beautiful areas of the village. Take a print of the map, water, snacks and walk along. The walk will go via Bristol Road and then to George Cadbury’s old home at Manor farm and pass through the areas of parkland. Free entry to Blakesley Hall
There will be free entry to the Blakesley Hall, Blakesley Road, Birmingham, B25 8RN on Sunday – January 6, 2019. The hall will be open to visit between 11 am to 4 pm on the day. Whether you are a new visitor or regular visitor, the place is a fine Tudor house and having beautiful gardens to enjoy.
Lapworth Museum
The Lapworth Museum is always giving free entry and families and children can enjoy well. The museum is located at Aston Webb Building, University of Birmingham, Edgbaston. But it closes for Christmas from 22nd December to 2nd January.
There has been a Creative Children Curating Collections exhibition running from November 24, 2018 to March 2, 2019. The museum is working with nurseries in Birmingham and this exhibition has been curated by the kids between 3 to 5 years. There will be a free museum tour organised on January 7, 2019 between 12 pm to 1 pm at the museum’s Eath Sciences building. Join the team and volunteers for a guided tour. The tour will be allowed based on first come first served basis.
