North Norfolk will be hosting a series of free events over the bank-holiday weekend that will entertain people of all ages. Some of the country’s best musicians will be participating in the events. Included are workshops for youngsters and visits to residential homes amoungst the 8 events being offered. The weekend also offers 3 events open to the public.
One of the open events is at Holt Country Park, hosting a Musical Adventure Walk and another a performance in a pub. A Musical Adventure Walk is on 6th May (Sunday), from 10am to 12 noon, with musicians to greet people on the walk, at various points. This is a free event, but car-parking has to be booked online at the site – north-norfolk.gov.uk/orchestras.
North Norfolk Dist. Council will be organising along with Orchestras Live , a performance by members belonging to Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment (OAE), on 4th, 5th and 6th of May. Music to Your Beers is a free event on 4th May (Friday), to be held at the BlackLion Hotel, Walsingham, involving 2 half-hour programmes, fixed at 4pm and 8pm.
A Baroque journey around Europe, created for children of ages 2 to 5, with parents, is at Sheringham Community Centre at 1p,m, on 5th May (Saturday). Music On Call will visit the care homes – Halvergate House (Norh Walsham), Cranmer House (Fakenham) and David’s Nursing Home (Sheringham). West Raynham Primary Academy and Ladybird Pre-School Nursery will hold TOTS Workshops.
