There will be various free events at Stoke Library in this summer holidays for kids at High School, Maidenhall Approach, Ipswich IP2 8PL.
CoderDojo:
A free session “CoderDojo” for the children aged between 7 to 17 years where the children are taught about website coding to create their own app or game and tips on programming. The children are encouraged to bring their own laptop. Kids under 12 years must be accompanied by an adult. The session will be held on Saturday August 18, 2018 between 10 am to 12 noon. StoryWalk
There will be a free story based activity held on Tuesday – August 21, 2018 at Stoke Library supported by Freddy’s Fund. Come and enjoy an interective and fun based story activity between 11.30 am to 12.30 pm and refreshments will be provided. Advance booking is essential and please contact the library for booking your place.
Other Activities:
There will be regular activities held at the library for the children as below.
1)Craft activities for primary school kids on Saturdays between 9.30 am to 12.30 pm and on Sundays between 11 am to 1 pm.
2)Story, rhymes & play for pre school kids on Tuesdays between 10 am to 11.30 pm.
3)There will be regular Free Bookstart Baby Bounce & Tot Rock sessions at all branches of the library for babies and young kids along with their parents. In these sessions they can enjoy stories, songs, move and play with the toys & instruments. There is no need for advance booking. 4)Summer Reading challenge: There will be reading challenge sessions from July 21 to September 2, 2018 except on Mondays. Discuss with a volunteer about your latest reading, take the next book and collect your rewards for the challenge.
