If you are keen to learn new skills and also improve your employability, then this Stafford fun day is your chance. It is offered by a housing association based in Stafford called the Stafford and Rural Homes. They are offering free taster sessions, for the launch of the free event, as part of its present series of recreational and training workshops, at a venue situated on Eastgate Street, opposite to the Gatehouse Theatre, which is The Hub.
The free event is scheduled for 30th January, Friday, to be held from 11am to 2pm, and is open to all. Included at the free event are creative family learning, cupcake decorating and complementary therapy. Learn how to cultivate organic vegetables, or how to fix and maintain a push-bike, or find out about courses that help employability.
The Community Learning Programme coordinated by Stafford and Rural Homes, has partners from across the community. The community landlord’s head of housing management, Chris Plant, said that many people have discovered unknown talents that they are capable of, when taking part. It has helped them to make friends, build confidence and help them get work, he added. He pointed out that the launch event gives everyone a chance to try something new.
