Summer Holiday Community Play Sessions
There will be free sessions of community play activities for the children aged upto 14 years during the summer holidays at the parks and green spaces organised by Play Gloucestershire. There will be full of sessions in this August month at various locations between 10 am to 4 pm. Please visit https://playgloucestershire.org.uk/play-timetables/ for dates and locations.
Theses are free sessions and no need for registration. There should be a parent or carer to come along with kids under 7 years. The activities include den building, active play, arts and crafts, fires, informal games. Kids can choose and play as per their wish and they will be encouraged to play freely and have healthy food at the sessions. The Phoenix Festival
The Phoenix Festival is a free to enter annual community and youth festival celebrated for two days. The free festival will offer full fun of music, dance and family gathering. This year’s festival has been organised on August 25 & 26, 2018 at the Abbey Grounds, Cirencester. The event will take place from 11 am to 10 pm (last entry 9 pm) on both the days.
The festival was first held in the year 2013 in the beautiful location of the Abbey Grounds, in central Cirencester. It has been evolved over the years and now the festival is participated by around 15000 visitors every year. The aim of the organisers of the festival is to make this festival as a good platform for everyone to gather along with young people and the community to celebrate and enjoy the performances.
There will be 4 stages of The Cozy Powell stage, The Vaults stage, Let’s play music stage and The Arena and will entertain with the best of live performances of music and dance with more than 40 acts. For more details on line up, please visit https://www.phoenix-festival.co.uk/line-up.
Beyond this, there will be exhibits with whole host of local groups, charities and clubs and arts & crafts activities. Also you can start shopping on the stalls available there with crafts, gifts, jewellery, toys and many more. You can also taste at the food stalls, drinks and bbq.
