Free session on how to compost domestic waste
The Welsh Government has organised for a free workshop on Friday – November 30, 2018 at the Eirianfa Community Centre, Denbigh. The session will run from 10 am to 2.30 pm and will explain on how to compost domestic waster to make it as organic manure and use it for soil. As one-third of waste can be composted which helps to save resources for waste management and benefiting garden also.
The session will be held in association with Denbigh Men’s Shed. As the spaces are limited, please register your place by sending an email to info@denbighmensshed.org.
Free entry to Christmas market to help fundraise by 1st Fareham Scouts
The 1st Fareham Scouts has organised for Christmas market on Saturday – December 1, 2018 at the Scout Hut in Crescent Road, PO16 0HJ. The entry to the market is FREE and it will start from 1 pm.
The 1st Fareham Scouts is one of the biggest Scout Groups in Fareham and having around 70 members. Scouting is a gathering to meet new friends and enjoying everyday adventures and activities. The 1st Fareham Scouts group provides adventures and challenges to the young people aged between 6 to 14 years in and around Fareham area.
The groups are holding first Christmas market to support to fundraise for their hut extension as the members are growing day by day. The market will have Santa’s grotto, a hog roast, Christmas cocktails and stalls by various local businesses & charities.
Chairwoman Linda Wells said that they have been making arrangements for stalls and will have Sharon’s Cake Delight, the Body Shop and a local pottery business which offers kids to designing a pot. The market has a Santa too inside the scout hut. There will be a hog roast, mulled wine and cider and a jumper competition, tombola and raffles. There will be a Curry & Quiz night in the evening hosted by the group. The funds raised will go to the scout’s hut extension. They are totally self funded whereas some groups are getting financial help from churches.
